She won't be missed

Is it too late to get Hubert Humphrey for this gig?  He's much more personable and full of life than this one.

We're 4.25 hours away from seeing what the /ES futures thinks of this latest development.

I don't think one should run for President if s/he gets overheated when the temperature is under 90 degrees F (32 degrees C).

And if we don't get that classic Monday key reversal...

Banks gotta do their part to prop her up as well, as long as they still can.

Crashing markets usher in the challenger, who is deplorable to them.

She certainly is "shovel-ready".

Are we being set up, for a Hillary replacement?

It is all so fitting. The imagery. The irony. All the parts. Everything. It couldn't be scripted any better.

I am thinking they are giving her ephedrine and albuterol so she goes effectively coughless. This, of course, could be damaging her heart, and would account for her fainting, probably caused by a ventricular tachycardia. Any doctors on board?

A good comment from Zero Hedge

The Religious Left is so completely mentally unbalanced, and out of control, that nothing matters at this point. These people are insane. They are the Bolsheviks and the Inquistion rolled into one. Their brains are polluted. Their souls are corrupted. They are so completely disgusting that there is no amount of discussion that could ever justify their existence.

Hear hear!

Futures muted. Disappointing.

I've been thinking a lot lately about rhetoric. What Plato called, the art of ruling the minds of men. The far left seems to thrive almost entirely on rhetoric. What puzzles me the most about this, is just how educated many of them are. Education does not generally teach one how to reason properly.

She's not fainting, she's locking up. Unable to move her legs. A friend of mine had Parkinson's and did the same thing.

Also notice her special glases, designed to keep her from being over stimulated.

The mood over at HuffPo is absolutely hilarious.

She's just a little sick. But those Trump people are all mean xenophobic racists!

Been reading Plato's Gorgias this year. Although the dialogue was subtitled ( by an ancient editor ) "about rhetoric", it morphs into a discussion about justice. Socrates repeatedly invites and/or pleads with his interlocutors "to converse" (dialegesthai) but they invariably turn, by choice or intellectual limitation, to rhetoric ( not even a skill according to Plato's Socrates, but a "trifling type of flattery" ).

Conundrum ( mine, not necessarily Plato's ): on the one hand, you cannot explore with honesty life's "greatest matters" by relying on the rhetorician's parlor tricks ( effective as they may be for short term advantage ); on the other hand, a society worth living in doesn't seem possible to sustain without the ability to use rhetoric in its defense.
